It is the highest net subscriptions in a single month since the start of 2014.
“It is normal that we see a higher net inflows at the start of the year. The main reason is that bond funds pay dividends in January which are reinvested in the fund”, says Bernt S. Zakariassen, CEO of VFF. Reinvested dividends amounted to 8.8 billion of the total net subscriptions in January.
Most of the new contracts in January went into equity funds, with net inflows of 9.2 billion. 8.6 billion went into various types of bond funds while 250 million were drawn in balanced funds.
